About the role
The Accounting Specialist AR/AP will own day-to-day transaction flow across creator payments, employee expenses, sales orders, general ledger activity, revenue support, and month-end close. This role is suited to an accounting professional with 3+ years of experience, strong reconciliation and payment-processing skills, hands-on experience with high-volume payment runs, and excellent attention to detail when managing approvals and payment releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Review creator payment runs for accuracy, approvals, and supporting documentation before release.
- Process creator payments through Lumanu and prepare approved PayPal payment batches for Payments Processing.
- Investigate and resolve failed, duplicate, or disputed creator payouts with creators and internal teams.
- Review and approve sales orders daily, confirming pricing, terms, and customer details before booking.
- Flag sales order discrepancies to Sales and Customer Success for resolution.
- Record journal entries, accruals, and reclasses in the general ledger.
- Support revenue recognition and reconcile revenue to sales orders and billing.
- Reconcile Lumanu and PayPal payment platform activity to the general ledger.
- Contribute to month-end close deliverables and ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Review and approve employee expense reports in Airbase against company policy, coordinate reimbursements, follow up on missing receipts or out-of-policy spend, and support payroll-related entries and data from Paylocity.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or payments operations.
- Working knowledge of GL accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue basics.
- Hands-on experience with high-volume payment runs and payment platforms such as PayPal or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and a controls mindset around approvals and payment release.
- Clear written English and reliable communication with US-based teams.
- Ability to work consistently during Pacific Time hours.
