About the role

We are seeking experienced finance professionals to evaluate frontier AI models on real-world finance work, including valuation and modeling, credit analysis, investment memos, budgeting, treasury, and risk decisions. Contributors will design realistic finance tasks, build supporting files and grading rubrics, compare model outputs, identify errors, and explain professional judgments in a fully remote, flexible contract engagement. Candidates should have practical finance experience, depth in at least one finance specialty, strong written communication, and familiarity with AI and LLM tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design challenging, realistic finance tasks based on day-to-day professional workflows, including scenarios, prompts, and supporting files.
Build realistic financial statements, models, data extracts, term sheets, board materials, investment committee materials, and correspondence needed for each task.
Run finance tasks through frontier AI models and evaluate the resulting models, memos, analyses, or presentations against professional standards.
Compare two AI model outputs using identical prompts and files, determine which performed better, and document the strengths and deficiencies of each.
Write detailed grading rubrics that define required assumptions, calculations, risk identification, recommendations, and other characteristics of a correct deliverable.
Flag concrete failures with evidence, including broken model logic, unsupported assumptions, misread financials, fabricated or ignored source files, unit and scaling errors, missed risks, and off-brief interpretations.
Contribute across valuation and modeling, credit, FP&A, markets, treasury, and risk, including reviewing and refining tasks created by other experts.
Translate complex professional reasoning into clear written explanations that distinguish a well-reasoned answer from a plausible but incorrect response.
Use feedback and expert review to revise task proposals, files, rubrics, and evaluations through each project acceptance stage.
Propose and develop tasks from personal finance experience, identify where frontier models are likely to fail, and collaborate with expert reviewers through onboarding and ongoing work.

Required Qualifications

Depth in at least one finance area, such as equity research, fixed income research, portfolio management, trading, corporate finance, FP&A, credit analysis, credit underwriting, investment banking, M&A, corporate development, treasury and liquidity, market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, wealth management, insurance, actuarial analysis, or underwriting.
Working understanding of several additional finance areas and the ability to assess workflows outside your primary specialization.
Practitioner-level ability to build and audit three-statement, DCF, comparable company, credit, or budget models.
Ability to draw on real-world professional experience and day-to-day workflows to create scenarios that test whether an AI system can perform finance work accurately.
Current or recent hands-on individual contributor experience; the role is not intended solely for managerial experience.
Full professional or native-level written and spoken English, with strong written communication and professional reasoning.
Comfort with ambiguity, attention to detail, and the ability to verify claims against underlying numbers, sources, and facts.
Ability to interpret feedback, judge its accuracy, and apply it independently.
Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar work using written materials and incomplete instructions.
General familiarity with AI and large language model tools, including experience with Claude or ChatGPT in professional work.
Baseline technology literacy, including comfort with cloud file tools, browser profiles, desktop applications, file conversion, and everyday file handling.
Availability for at least 10 hours per week, with no weekly maximum.
Based in the United States, Canada, or the UK.
An in-progress Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, business, or a quantitative field.
