About the role

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Trade Compliance to oversee global trade compliance licensing activities for aerospace, aviation, and defense operations. The role will develop compliance guidance, review and submit ITAR and EAR license applications, serve as an Empowered Official, support enterprise-wide monitoring and investigations, and contribute to trade training and outreach. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree, seven years of related experience, five years of experience with ITAR Exemptions and EAR Exceptions, and experience with OCR EASE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the review and submission of trade-related license applications for company import and export requirements.
  • Develop and implement guidance, procedures, processes, and templates that facilitate international license requirements.
  • Act as an Empowered Official in accordance with the ITAR.
  • Develop and actively participate in trade-related training events, including webinars, summits, and conferences.
  • Support enterprise-wide trade requirements through internal monitoring efforts and compliance investigations.
  • Coordinate trade-related outreach activities to support awareness and compliance across the organization.
  • Apply ITAR Exemptions and EAR Exceptions when evaluating and supporting trade compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a strategic, enterprise-wide perspective on licensing and trade compliance activities across aerospace and defense operations.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned to support the team's objectives.
  • Travel domestically approximately 30% of the time as required by the role.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven years of prior related experience.
  • Five years of experience with ITAR Exemptions and EAR Exceptions.
  • Experience with OCR EASE.
  • Experience drafting and submitting ITAR license applications.
  • Experience drafting and submitting EAR license applications.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel 30% domestically.
