L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Electrical Engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio, to lead the design, verification, qualification, and troubleshooting of ruggedized analog and digital electronics for ordnance applications. The role requires a bachelor's degree, at least 7 years of experience, demonstrated leadership of large-scale technical projects, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, with compensation of $140,000–$160,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analog and digital design activities for ruggedized electronics used in ordnance applications.
- Develop, refine, and support compliance with product requirements throughout the product development cycle.
- Generate test plans and test reports addressing product performance, including Brassboard, Design Verification, Qualification, and Firing Properties activities.
- Lead and direct test activities across all phases of the product development cycle.
- Lead failure investigations using structured tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and Cause & Effect.
- Generate technical material and lead design reviews throughout all phases of product development.
- Act as the primary technical interface for internal and external customers.
- Provide material and labor estimates for Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Generate Engineering Orders (EOs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Lead large-scale technical projects from start to completion with minimal guidance while coordinating technical documentation, drawings, testing, and design activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 7 years of experience.
- At least 5 years of experience designing with basic analog building blocks, including differential amplifiers, op amps, LDOs, filters, and data converters.
- At least 5 years of experience designing with basic digital building blocks, including logic gates, flip flops, timers, and filters.
- At least 4 years of experience with power conversion concepts, including AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC, linear supplies, and switching supplies.
- At least 5 years of experience troubleshooting with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, and meters.
- At least 4 years of experience with schematic capture and/or board layout utilities, including Altium or PADS.
- At least 4 years of experience leading a large-scale technical project from start to completion with minimal guidance.
- At least 4 years of experience preparing for and participating in internal and external design reviews.
- At least 4 years of experience creating technical documentation, including test plans, test reports, and drawings.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
