About the role

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will support the expansion and operational success of a growing Building Materials manufacturing facility by serving as the technical and operational liaison between project teams and plant operations. The role will support equipment startups, major capital projects, process control architecture and tuning, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and the transition to full process ownership. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years of experience in industrial continuous process manufacturing, including process engineering and hands-on troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical and operational liaison between project teams and plant operations during the introduction of a new major production asset.
  • Support the execution of major capital projects and the expansion of manufacturing facility capabilities.
  • Support equipment startups and help transition new production assets from construction and commissioning into steady-state operation.
  • Assume full process ownership once new equipment and production assets become operational.
  • Apply process engineering expertise to support safe, efficient, and world-class manufacturing performance.
  • Use process control architecture and tuning expertise to improve process stability and operational performance.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support across manufacturing processes and existing plant assets.
  • Drive continuous improvement and structured problem-solving activities focused on performance, quality, safety, and cost targets.
  • For the Winder, GA position, travel to other plants during the first six months to gain experience with an existing blowing wool manufacturing line before the new line becomes operational.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial continuous process manufacturing, including process engineering.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with process control architecture and tuning.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or a structured problem-solving methodology.
  • Background supporting equipment startups or major capital projects.
