About the role
Providence Health & Services is seeking a Part-Time Days Registered Nurse for Outpatient Surgery at its Ambulatory Surgical Center in Santa Rosa, California. The role supports pre- and post-operative nursing care and requires at least one year of nursing experience, including Outpatient Surgery RN experience in an acute care hospital setting and recent Phase 1 recovery RN experience. Required credentials include a California Registered Nurse License, National Provider BLS, Provider ACLS, and Provider PALS through the American Heart Association.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Registered Nurse support for outpatient surgery patients in the pre- and post-operative care setting.
- Support patient care activities within the Ambulatory Surgical Center in Santa Rosa, California.
- Apply nursing experience from an acute care hospital setting to outpatient surgical care.
- Support Phase 1 recovery nursing activities as part of the post-operative patient care process.
- Work scheduled 8-hour day shifts in a part-time capacity.
- Apply appropriate nursing knowledge and clinical judgment within the scope of the Registered Nurse role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Provider ACLS certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Provider PALS certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience.
- At least 1 year of Outpatient Surgery RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- At least 1 year of recent Phase 1 recovery RN work experience.
