The RN / Nurse Manager, Surgery will lead the planning, direction, and management of nursing care for a designated patient population at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, California. The role oversees 24-hour patient care unit operations, including staffing, fiscal management, planning, organization, quality standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Required qualifications include a California Registered Nurse License, National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association, at least two years of recent clinical experience, and computer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and manage nursing care delivered to a designated patient population.
- Oversee the 24-hour operation of the patient care unit and maintain accountability for daily nursing operations.
- Provide leadership for staffing, workforce planning, organizing, and controlling unit activities.
- Manage the unit's overall fiscal responsibilities in alignment with patient care operations.
- Model proactive and collaborative working relationships across hospital functions.
- Support an interdisciplinary approach to patient care through effective coordination with hospital teams.
- Develop programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care for the nursing unit.
- Ensure patients' nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and addressed through appropriate nursing practices.
Required Qualifications
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.

- Two years of recent clinical experience.
